The role is a hybrid of Customer Service and Automotive Photography. The team will take turns explaining and setting up Bluetooth for phones/radio settings for customers and taking photos of our vehicle inventory. They will also make calls to customers gauging their experience with us and asking customers to fill out a survey.
I’m looking to make these hires right away, so please share this with everyone looking for an opportunity. 🙂
Kaizen is Japanese for “improvement” – activities that continuously improve all function and improve all employees.
Honda believes in constant improvement. Yesterday’s achievements may be celebrated, but there is no resting place. Because the best never rest. Kaizen is guide to finding new ways to improve.
Documentation is everything. The first step of Kaizen is to document how a process really happens. In the ideal world, we may know what is supposed to happen, but what really happens is all that matters. Take a moment to document all the variations of a process to identify waste.
Once wasted effort has be identified. It is time to eliminate as many unnecessary steps as possible. This will increase efficiency. Once these changes are in place it is now time to inspect this new reality.
Maybe the fixes didn’t really fix everything? Time to make more changes. Verify that these changes have been made. And measure the improvement, comparing to where the process started. Once the improved process makes progress, standardize the changes as the new way to conduct operations.
Now is the time to celebrate this achievement. The celebration is a necessary step in Kaizen, because efforts made should be recognized.
Enjoy your success, but remember there is no resting place. Now it is time to improve again. This is important! Continuous improvement is necessary to prevent falling behind.
With an increase of cases across the country, businesses are rapidly embracing the omnipresent convenience of online shopping. Before COVID-19, not all businesses were onboard with the digital age. Many businesses clung to in-person, cash transactions, and phone calls to conduct business, but now there is a greater incentive to modernize.
For those who prefer to shop on a mobile device and do not particularly enjoy making phone calls, the world is changing to fit the way you’ve always wanted to shop.
Car Dealerships are not known for selling vehicles online, they have dabbled in the digital space, but have not fully dived in yet. This is changing! While not all aspects of the deal can be done remotely, much if it can be, and I imagine eventually all of it will be.
Look for Buy Online Button
If you are shopping on hillcountryhonda.com, you will see an up-to-date inventory of new and used vehicles. Look for the Buy Online button. Go ahead and fill in your information and run through all the steps the digital store has. Following the prompts will eliminate as many in-store processes as possible. The remaining signatures can be taken when your vehicle is delivered at your home! Almost all-online! We’re getting there.
Would you enjoy taking photos and videos of vehicles all day?
There’s a job opportunity at Hill Country Honda for an Automotive Merchandising Photographer.
This position is recommended to anyone who enjoys automobiles, photography, video production, marketing, and social media. It’s the perfect job that never gets boring because there are so many vehicles to drive.
The COVID-19 global crisis has disrupted our business and daily lives. Official word has just been received that our annual Team Honda Week of Service, a week where all Honda dealerships are encouraged to participate in community service, has been postponed.
Community service is typically done in person, which conflicts with the national need to practice social distancing. However, when the need for social distancing is lifted, Honda will reschedule Team Honda Week of Service.
In San Antonio, Texas, Fiesta also had to be postponed. Fiesta is a local San Antonio holiday that spans over two weeks. Most local holidays in San Antonio are celebrated in the first half of a calendar year, whereas most significant national holidays are celebrated toward the end of the year. These would include the Fourth of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas, and if you include New Year’s Eve.
These are events many of us look forward to and are very sad to be missing out on at present. However, we intend to participate in all these events belatedly. Especially, Team Honda Week of Service and Fiesta for San Antonio!
We understand that these are challenging times. Hill Country Honda wants to thank those who are the front lines of keeping our community together. First responders, healthcare professionals, grocers, and employees of essential businesses, we appreciate you!
As a token of our appreciation, we would like to extend to you a $500 bonus on the purchase of a new vehicle.
Hill Country Honda remains fully operational for all regular business as we are classified as an essential business related to transportation.
In our Sales Department, we have expanded convenience with:
Store hours have changed slightly, but we continue to offer Saturday service in addition to sales at our dealership. The Sales Department will be open Monday through Saturday from 9 AM to 7 PM. The Service Department will be open Monday through Saturday from 7 AM to 5 PM. These changes took effect Thursday, March 19, 2020, and will remain until further notice, to allow us the appropriate time to sanitize the building.
We appreciate your understanding as we take on this novel international challenge to protect you and our team.
To keep everyone safe while expanding convenience to customers, Hill Country Honda’s Service Department now offers vehicle pick up and drop off at the customer’s home.
A member of our Service Department will sanitize and pick up your vehicle and complete maintenance at our dealership. Afterward, your vehicle will be dropped off and sanitized. Customers can have service completed without leaving their homes.
Car and Driver rated the 2020 Honda Civic 5 out of 5 stars in their review. As someone who personally owns a recent Honda Civic, I can tell you that all the great things they had to say about the Civic are right.
The 2020 Honda Civic is sporty with its optional turbocharged engine. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Push to Start, Remote Start, Incredible Fuel Economy, Stellar Safety Ratings, and Proven Honda Reliability, are among some of the reasons I am a Honda customer.
So if the choice to purchase a Honda is clear, and the Civic has caught your eye, there is only two more choices to make. Which trim and what color?
The Honda Civic Trims are the following. I will highlight the major differences between them. I could show you a long list of features, but that becomes overwhelming. So, let’s just focus on what you might care most about.
2020 Honda Civic LX
All 2020 Honda Civic trims now include Honda Sensing. The inclusion of Honda Sensing is a big deal as it adds several intelligent safety features to your vehicle. This feature alone is enough to consider the Honda Civic LX over any other competition.
Honda Sensing is an elusive intelligent suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies designed to alert you to things you might miss while driving. These include Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM), Adaptive Crusie Control (ACC), and Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS).
Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) applies brake pressure when an unavoidable collision is determined.
Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM) adjusts steering and braking if you cross detected lanes without signaling.
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) maintains a set following interval behind detected vehicles.
Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) adjusts steering to help you keep centered in a detected lane.
The Civic Sedan offers a standard 158-horsepower, 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine that helped it receive a 38-mpg highway rating from the EPA, proving normal is anything but boring.
The Civic Sedan comes standard with a multi-angle rearview camera that allows you to choose from three different angles—normal, top-down and wide—to get a better view of what’s behind you when you’re backing up.

The 18-inch alloy wheels add an aggressive, sporty touch to the bold design of the Civic Sedan.
When Amazon was founded on July 5, 1994, the Internet was still in its infancy. Few would have imagined that 25 years later, Amazon’s online shopping experience would revolutionize retail.
Adoption takes time. Some question the need for a new technology, while others are interested in what it can do. Curious minds desire to know what new technology does, because they will find an application for it later.
Similarly, friction-less online auto sales has been in the works for some time. Many have dragged their feet on its adoption, clinging to the old ways, but COVID-19 has ushered in rapid change.
The future of auto sales has arrived!
The need for social distancing and the closure of many businesses to slow the spread of COVID-19 is forcing everyone to embrace going digital in a hurry. Fortunately, many digital tools have been around since 2011 (Zoom Video Conferencing), but now they are receiving more use and attention.
Honda will be encouraging the mass adoption of a new tool called Modal. Modal is a virtual retailing tool that transforms the complex car sale into a smooth digital transaction that buyers love.
Traditional paper contracts will be replaced with PDFs that can be signed electronically from an iPad. The transition will shave 2-3 days off the typical time it takes to transact a sale and approve financing.
Hill Country Honda will be one of the first 55 Honda dealerships to sign up with the new virtual retailing tool. With the new tool purchasing online can be completed in 4 easy steps: choose a car, trade old car, pick payment, and review order. After you submit your online order, we can even deliver your vehicle to you! And this could all be accomplished within the same day!
